Due to the chemical contamination found in many areas of a paper mill, UHP waterjetting offers many advantages for maintenance recoating projects. The chemical contaminants are completely removed by the high velocity waterjets and the surface is prepared for recoating. This method of surface preparation completely eliminates any damage from airborne dust and abrasives to plant equipment and can remain in service with no interruptions due to the recoating process. The UHP equipment can be located outside the building or structure and hoses or stiff tubing can be run to the work site, eliminating congestion during plant outages.
